2010 Class Splits for PHRF of the Chesapeake, Inc.

For most of the major events, PHRF Classes will be split as follows.   Some events may require further class splits into sub-sections.    The actual splits should be listed on the race circular for the event.   It is your responsibility to start at the correct time.

The following class splits were approved for 2010 at the Annual Meeting of the Board of Delegates

*         PHRF N (non-spinnaker) will be sailed allowing two (2) headsails downwind unless sailing instruction specifically state differently.  

**         PHRF has approved a Sport Boat class for regions I- III only.   Boats conforming to the following criteria shall sail in the Sport Boat Class, when offered by the Race Instructions:

    1. All boats <37 ft LOA, with upwind SA/D >27 using asymmetrical spinnakers, or 
    2. All boats < 37 ft LOA, with upwind SA/D > 31 using any type of spinnaker, or
    3. All boats < 37 ft LOA, with downwind SA/D > 72

Boats meeting Sport Boat criteria will be so designated on their Valid Certificate and on the current PHRF Valid Listing.
